Job summary

Birla Carbon, part of the Aditya Birla Group, invites applications for Head - VCE. The role aims to develop a robust pipeline of new product developments and expand the portfolio of value-added / speciality products.

You will build an outsourcing partner network—yarn manufacturers, weavers and knitters—as customers and suppliers of DT, driving the end-to-end process of product development, value-chain partnerships, and nominations from brands and retailers.

Responsibilities

• Launch new products and applications based on market intelligence; ensure commercial feasibility and sales.
• Engage with yarn manufacturers, weavers and knitters to build a pipeline of quality partners as customers and suppliers for DT products.
• Lead engagements with global brands and retailers for new DT products; present a roadmap of NPDs and secure first orders with at least 10 B&R customers.

Job Purpose

To develop a robust pipeline of new product developments, increased product portfolio of value added / speciality products, developing an inventory of outsourcing partners - Yarn manufacturers, weavers & knitters as customers and asl as suppliers of DT by driving teh entire business process of product Development, value chain Partnership & nominations from brands & retailers

In the growing face of competition, it becomes more imperative to innovate and come up with new products / specialty products, which provides as a competitive advantage. Market seeding needs to be done for the developed products

Key Result Areas / Accountabilities

Supporting Actions

New Product / Application Launch

• Drive New Product / Application launch based on extensive market intelligence and build a system of new Product Development that are commercially feasible and result in sales of such product - At least 2 such products for each business vertical of DT

Develop Sourcing Partners

• Drive engagement with value chain partners - yarn manufacturers, weavers and knitters and develop a pipeline of quality partners both as customers and suppliers - develop at least 10 sourcing partners

Engagement with Global Brands & Retailers

• Lead engagement with Global Brands & Retailers for New Products of DT. Present a roadmap of NPD's and commercialize those products with first orders in hand. Partner with at least 10 B&R customers

Market Seeding

• Increase usage of DT products by seeding new market segments such as women swear, home textiles etc. At least 3 new segments to be identified, create NPDs for them and procure first orders
