Job summary

Ideal Placement And Consultants is assisting a leading textiles house in Tiruppur to hire a Design Head – Home Textiles for bedding and home furnishings. The role leads design & product development for export and domestic markets, shaping seasonal strategy and creative direction.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in home textiles, 5+ years in design leadership, strong weaving techniques, and proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and textile CAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Textile Design, Textile Technology, or Fashion & Apparel Design.
• 10–15 years in home textiles with 5+ years in design leadership.
• Strong command of woven design techniques (dobby, jacquard, yarn development, finishing).
• Proven track record with international buyers and Indian retail/D2C collections.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and textile CAD software.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Define the seasonal design strategy and creative direction for export and domestic collections.
• Curate trend-forward mood boards, color stories, and design narratives.
• Translate forecasts into production-ready collections for premium markets.
• Lead full design cycle from concept to sampling and final realization.
