Job summary

Adani Group in Mumbai seeks a Lead Structural Design (Regional) to lead, standardize, and oversee structural design across projects. This role ensures cost-effective, code-compliant designs and drives approvals with authorities.

You will review consultant designs, perform structural analysis, specify concrete and steel systems, and mentor teams while optimizing schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Structural Engineering or related field.
• 15-18 years of experience in structural design and engineering, preferably in real estate.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, building codes, and seismic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead Structural Design & Analysis for projects within the region.
• Ensure designs comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and business objectives.
• Review and approve consultant designs for alignment with project quality procedures.
• Perform detailed checking of structural calculations and drawings per quality procedures.
• Develop full technical specifications for concrete, steel, and related sections.
• Provide QA/QC oversight on calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Streamline approvals from authorities and ensure safety and compliance.
• Conduct seismic and wind load calculations to meet regional standards.
• Collaborate with architects, MEP teams, and other disciplines to optimize layouts.
• Select appropriate structural systems in concept stage based on cost and constructability.
• Monitor project procedures, execution plans, and quality plans.
• Ensure cost-effective engineering solutions and monitor project financials.
• Explore new materials and techniques to enhance efficiency.

• The Lead Structural Design (Regional) is responsible for leading, standardizing, and overseeing all structural aspects across all projects within the assigned region.
• This role ensures that structural designs are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with local regulations while also streamlining approvals from authorities.
• The position involves developing enterprise-wide strategies, reviewing designs, and ensuring value engineering.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Lead Structural Design Structural Design & Analysis: Conduct structural analysis and design for projects within the region.
• Ensure all designs comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and business objectives.
• Review and approve consultant designs, ensuring alignment with project quality procedures.
• Design Review & Technical Oversight: Perform detailed checking of structural calculations and drawings in line with project quality procedures.
• Develop full technical specifications for concrete, steel, and steel-related sections.
• Provide technical QA QC oversight on calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Compliance & Approvals: Ensure all structural designs comply with local regulations and streamline approvals from relevant authorities.
• Conduct seismic and wind load calculations and analysis to meet regional safety standards.
• Coordination & Integration: Collaborate with architects, MEP teams, and other related disciplines to optimize structural layouts in the schematic stage.
• Select appropriate structural systems in the concept stage through comparative studies of various options in terms of cost, constructability, and project timelines.
• Project Execution & Financial Monitoring: Understand and implement project procedures, execution plans, and quality plans.
• Monitor project financials related to structural design and ensure cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Provide design support to technically challenging projects, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
• Innovation & Value Engineering: Continuously explore new materials and construction techniques to optimize structural efficiency.
• Implement value engineering principles to enhance project feasibility and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience
