The Head – Private Client Group
will be responsible for leading and scaling the PCG business, driving AUM growth, revenue generation, client acquisition and retention across the HNI/UHNI segment. The role will own the overall business strategy, client proposition, team performance, and profitability while ensuring superior wealth management and investment advisory solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Leadership & Growth
- Lead, manage, and scale the Private Client Group business in line with the organization's overall growth objectives.
- Own the PCG business P&L, AUM, revenue, client acquisition, retention, and profitability targets.
- Develop and execute business strategies, growth plans, and performance frameworks to achieve and exceed annual business targets.
- Identify new market opportunities, client segments, and growth levers to expand the PCG franchise.
2. HNI/UHNI Client Acquisition, Deepening & Retention
- Drive acquisition of new HNI/UHNI clients through strong market presence, networking, referrals, and strategic relationships.
- Deepen existing client relationships by understanding their financial goals, investment preferences, risk profiles, and evolving wealth requirements.
- Build long-term relationships with key clients and ensure high levels of client engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Establish a strong client-centric culture focused on trust, transparency, and superior service delivery.
3. AUM & Revenue Generation
- Drive AUM growth through effective cross-selling and up-selling of wealth management and investment solutions.
- Generate revenue by promoting and distributing Mutual Funds, Portfolio Management Services (PMS), Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), and other relevant investment products.
- Identify opportunities to increase wallet share and overall revenue contribution from existing and new relationships.
- Develop strategies to improve product penetration, client activation, and revenue productivity.
- Oversee portfolio reviews and ensure delivery of customized investment solutions aligned with client objectives, risk appetite, asset allocation, and investment horizon.
- Guide the team in developing holistic wealth management strategies for HNI/UHNI clients.
- Ensure effective use of market insights, asset allocation strategies, and relevant financial products to optimize client portfolios.
- Maintain strong understanding of capital markets, investment products, and evolving wealth management trends.
5. Market Intelligence & Business Development
- Develop deep market understanding and proactively identify trends, opportunities, and competitive developments impacting the wealth management business.
- Formulate advanced strategies to increase book size, AUM, client wallet share, and revenue.
- Build strong relationships with key market participants, intermediaries, entrepreneurs, business owners, and other potential HNI/UHNI client networks.
- Continuously enhance the PCG value proposition based on market and client needs.
6. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Build, lead, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of Wealth Managers and relationship teams.
- Set clear business objectives, KPIs, productivity benchmarks, and performance expectations for the team.
- Drive a strong performance culture through regular reviews, coaching, capability building, and performance interventions.
- Develop the next line of leadership and ensure strong talent retention within the PCG business.
- Ensure consistent delivery against AUM, revenue, acquisition, productivity, and client service metrics.
7. Client Experience & Governance
- Ensure superior client servicing standards and consistent delivery of a differentiated wealth management experience.
- Establish robust processes for client engagement, portfolio reviews, service delivery, and relationship management.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, compliance, risk, and internal governance requirements.
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct, client confidentiality, and ethical wealth advisory practices.
