Job Purpose

The Head – Project Management Control Group (PMO) oversees the successful completion of construction or capital projects, guiding project direction, ensuring alignment with planned guidelines, budgets, and schedules, and ensuring robust project delivery of data centre projects.

Responsibilities

• Project Management – head the design and set-up of the project management office, ensuring the business has the capability to deliver large & complex data centre projects, set standards, and identify and communicate project priorities.
• Strategy & Planning – align project objectives with company goals, manage project governance, define methodologies, implement efficiency gains, and collaborate with the executive team on high-value proposals.
• Stakeholder Management – communicate with internal & external stakeholders for project initiation, set expectations, and manage project closure.
• Governance & Compliance – ensure projects comply with policies, standards, and client requirements; oversee implementation of performance monitoring systems.
• Risk Management – identify and mitigate project risks, proactively address issues impacting delivery and success.
• Performance Management & Continuous Improvement – identify leading tools & practices, monitor implementation, analyse gaps, and recommend remedial measures.
• Resource Planning & Deployment – manage and allocate resources across projects according to priorities, schedules, and budgets.
• Workforce Capability-Building & Knowledge Management – coach & mentor team members, oversee capability-building programs, and steer knowledge management initiatives.
• Brand Positioning – ensure Adani’s brand values are represented, strengthen relationships, and build trust within the market.
• Team Development – build a high-performing team, set KPIs, track progress, implement continuous improvement strategies, and promote a respectful, safe workplace.

Education

Graduate or post-graduate degree in civil or electrical engineering.

Qualifications

Mechanical, electrical, or civil engineer with 20-25 years of experience in project planning for large-scale data centre/infra projects.
