Job summary

ACG World is seeking a Head Project Management in Talegaon to lead end-to-end project execution for pharmaceutical machinery orders. You will drive planning, scheduling, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to meet contractual deadlines and quality standards.

The role requires 12–15 years of relevant experience, a B.E. degree, PMP certification, and proficiency in SAP and MPP. MBA is a plus with a focus on delivery excellence and project profitability.

Qualifications

• B.E. degree mandatory; MBA desirable.
• PMP Certification mandatory.
• 12–15 years’ experience in handling/executing customized projects in pharma machinery manufacturing or similar B2B industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management from concept to handover, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
• Plan and schedule across production, engineering, testing, dispatch and customer handover.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and resolve escalations to meet contractual deadlines.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Engineering to optimize project plans and resources.
• Monitor project performance and provide weekly/ monthly status reports.

We have an opportunity in ACG Engineering of a Head Project Management.

Job Objective

To be responsible for the Project Management support & execution of all orders from conceptual and detailed design stage through engineering, production, testing, dispatch & handover to customer as per the contractual deadlines

Primary responsibilities

Strategic and planning

• Project execution within the cost budget & delivered completely in time as per order requirements.
• Project planning and Scheduling
• Demand & Forecasting via Sales & Production
• Strengthening the process of Project Execution Schedules for every project.
• Build strong customer relationships by effectively managing customer expectations by resolving customer escalations and check for feedback.

Functional

• Monitor & ensure the overall progress of projects/ customer orders against schedule and milestones reporting to management, as well as providing early warning of potential slippage, in case of the latter, propose remedial actions so that the contract completion data for the work is not jeopardized.
• Provides inputs for daily, weekly and monthly production plan which involve fixing the manufacturing sequence and process
• Provides inputs & priorities to make necessary changes in the production plans in case of any urgent requirements and communicates the same to the concerned
• To provide professional Customer Service by anticipating and responding to customer queries
• Provides Sales Order booking and project status report on a weekly basis.
• Address material and schedule concerns with customers/vendors and factory.
• Be responsible for proper review of the entire Project and processing of variations and claims received from Customer / Factory / Engineering.
• Provide inputs to maintain minimum stock of the material as agreed between Sales and Production.
• Ensure that contract execution is handled according to company procedures, QA policy and legal requirements, when relevant.
• Provide advice and support to Project Engineers/partners on how project evidence and information must be presented and reported
• Implement and track projects via MPP / Project Tracker in SAP.
• Adhere to timelines & ensure efficiency in Project Execution.
• Ensure Inspections & timely dispatch of items as per order, resulting in improved FAT score & customer satisfaction
• Ensure projects are closed contractually keeping in view of ACG’s obligations.

Internal process

• Act as main coordination link between Customer and AGG to resolve escalated issues with respect to allocated Projects.
• Collate qualitative and quantitative information on project performance for the preparation and production of project reports for internal management purposes
• Co-ordinate with sales for forecasting & plan production accordingly
• Manage budget, and schedules for various allocated projects.
• Interact closely across different teams & provide support accordingly.
