Job summary

i-TEK RFID is seeking a world‑class Head of Engineering to shape product engineering vision, architecture, engineering culture, and technology execution. This role builds scalable, extensible, configurable, secure, and cloud‑native platforms for multiple verticals in retail, manufacturing, logistics, banking, and beyond.

Qualifications

• 18–22 years of strong engineering leadership experience in enterprise products, SaaS platforms, scalable technology systems, embedded ecosystems, and product engineering organizations.
• Strong preference for experience in retail technology, supply chain platforms, IoT, edge platforms, enterprise automation ecosystems, or adjacent technology domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engineering for i-TEK’s software platforms, embedded systems, and intelligent edge ecosystems.
• Drive the evolution of Garuda Vigil into a globally scalable enterprise‑grade RFID and AIDC platform.
• Lead the engineering evolution of Skanixa as a configurable and scalable embedded edgeware ecosystem.
• Ensure platforms are configurable, extensible, multi‑tenant, secure, API‑first, cloud‑native, and highly scalable.
• Build engineering systems supporting both SaaS deployments and dedicated enterprise/on‑premises deployments.
• Build platforms capable of rapid prototyping, agile rollout, and faster adaptability to changing market and customer requirements.
• Define and govern overall platform architecture and engineering standards.
• Build platforms that enable rapid development of industry‑specific use cases.
• Drive modern engineering practices including CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated testing, observability, infrastructure automation, release orchestration, and evergreen architecture.
• Establish strong release management and roadmap governance processes.
• Work closely with product management and hardware/device engineering teams to build configurable and scalable embedded and edge device ecosystems.

About the Role

The Head of Engineering will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping i-TEK’s product engineering vision, architecture, engineering culture, and technology execution. This role is responsible for building highly scalable, extensible, configurable, secure, and cloud-native platforms that can support multiple vertical use cases across retail, manufacturing, logistics, banking, and emerging sectors. The ideal candidate will combine:

• Ensure interoperability across RFID and AIDC environments.
• Drive engineering quality and consistency across firmware, device management, diagnostics, and edge integrations.
• Build platforms that enable partners, system integrators, and customers to rapidly develop applications and industry‑specific use cases.
• Partner closely with Product Management, Delivery, Customer Success, and Business teams.
• Build and mentor high-performance engineering teams across architecture, software engineering, embedded systems, QA, DevOps, security, scrum management, and platform operations.
• Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Drive patent creation, technical innovation, and engineering differentiation.
• Represent i-TEK in technology forums, customer discussions, and industry engagements.
