Job summary

Oakridge International School Mohali seeks a Head of Primary to provide strategic and academic leadership for the IB PYP program, guiding teaching and learning across the Primary Segment, and ensuring a vibrant, inclusive school culture.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree, IB PYP training, at least five years of leadership in an IB or international setting, and a track record of curriculum development, collaboration, and school operations coordination.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required or equivalent.
• IB PYP training or certification highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching and academic leadership experience, preferably in an IB/international school.
• Experience as Head of Primary, PYP Coordinator, Primary Coordinator, or equivalent leadership role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inquiry-based and concept-driven learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Primary academic team to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
• Drive curriculum development and implementation of the IB PYP.
• Monitor teaching standards and support professional development.
• Foster collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement across the school.

Role Overview

The Head of Primary will provide strategic and academic leadership for the Primary Segment, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, student development, and effective implementation of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP).The role involves leading the Primary academic team, driving curriculum development and implementation, monitoring teaching and learning standards, supporting professional development, and fostering a culture of inquiry, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
