Job summary

Alstom is seeking a full-time Finance Director, RSC India in Bangalore to lead all financial aspects of the India RSC business. You will partner with project, manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering teams to drive financial performance, ensure controls, and deliver accurate reporting.

You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives, while guiding the organization through IFRS-compliant accounting and long-term project finance matters.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant qualification preferred
• 15–20 years of relevant finance experience
• Strong understanding of IFRS accounting principles and exposure to long-term project accounting
• Proven ability to manage financial performance in a matrixed environment
• Experience translating global needs into actionable BI reporting
• Track record of deploying financial initiatives and process improvements

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted Finance Partner to the Cluster RSC leadership team
• Own the Profit & Loss for the RSC business
• Drive productivity, cost efficiency, and cash management initiatives
• Ensure robust financial controls and project execution
• Coordinate budgeting and monthly reporting activities
• Set ambitious targets for cost and cash performance
• Lead cost excellence initiatives including vendor negotiations and make vs. buy decisions
• Contribute to India/APAC monthly management reviews on business performance

You’ll play a pivotal role in managing all financial aspects of the RSC business in India, including Projects, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sourcing, and Quality. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Project Finance Managers, Factory Site Finance Controllers, and other key stakeholders), drive financial performance, and ensure compliance with financial controls and reporting standards.

You’ll specifically take care of financial planning and forecasting for the RSC business, but also lead cost efficiency initiatives and ensure excellence in project execution.

• Acting as the trusted Finance Partner to the Cluster RSC leadership team
• Providing strong financial leadership and owning the Profit Loss (PL) for the RSC business
