Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced, commercially oriented, and hands-on Head of Finance & Accounts to lead the Finance function of our growing MSME organization. The candidate will be responsible for managing the Company's financial planning, cash flow, working capital, project costing, banking facilities, client collections, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate should not be limited to accounting and compliance but should act as a strategic finance partner to the Management, providing clear visibility on project profitability, cash requirements, financial risks, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Cash Flow

• Prepare and monitor weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash flow forecasts.
• Manage working capital requirements and fund utilization.
• Ensure timely availability of funds for projects and operations.

Project Finance & Profitability

• Establish project-wise costing and profitability monitoring.
• Monitor budget versus actual expenditure.
• Track project costs, including manpower, materials, subcontractors, equipment, fuel, logistics, and overheads.
• Identify cost overruns and margin risks.
• Prepare Estimated Cost to Complete and project profitability reports.

Billing & Receivables

• Ensure timely submission of client invoices, RA bills, milestone bills, and final bills.
• Monitor receivables and ageing.
• Drive collection of overdue payments.
• Monitor retention money, security deposits, advances, and other recoverable.

Banking & Treasury

• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Handle Cash Credit, Overdraft, Working Capital, Term Loan, and other banking facilities.
• Manage Bank Guarantees, including issuance, renewal, expiry, margins, and claim periods.

Accounting & MIS

• Ensure timely closure of monthly accounts.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Develop a monthly MIS covering:
  • Cash flow
  • Receivables
  • Payables
  • Project profitability
  • Working capital
  • Bank facility utilization
  • Key financial risks

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors, Chartered Accountants, tax consultants, and other advisors.
• Ensure timely completion of statutory and internal audits.

Financial Controls

• Establish strong SOPs and financial controls.
• Implement approval matrices and delegation of authority.
• Monitor advances, vendor payments, reimbursements, and project expenditure.
• Strengthen controls to prevent financial leakages and unauthorized expenditure.

Leadership

• Lead and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
• Work closely with Management, Project Managers, Procurement, Commercial, and HR teams.
• Improve financial processes and reporting through automation and ERP (Tally) systems.

Compensation

CTC: Fixed Annual Renumeration of 12 to 18 Lakhs and variable component (Performance based Incentive) and commensurate with experience and capability.
