Job summary

Lagrange Point International is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead end‑to‑end engineering for its SaaS offerings. The role reports to the founder and centers on delivering a scalable technology strategy for a hybrid ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will bring 15–20 years of leadership in product tech, deep full‑stack expertise, and a track record of architectural leadership across microservices and cloud platforms, with a strong focus on business outcomes and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of technology leadership experience in a product-focused company
• Strong full-stack technical expertise across modern software design and cloud platforms (Azure)
• Proven architectural leadership across microservices, event-driven architectures, API management, and scalable SaaS

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology strategy and roadmaps for hybrid tech ecosystem.

Our client is a PE-backed software company catering to the retail ecosystem. We are looking to hire a Head of Engineering, reporting to the founder, to will manage end to end engineering for the companies SaaS product offerings.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Define and Execute the Technology Strategy: Own the roadmap for the hybrid technology ecosystem, balancing the modernization of the high-volume
• Drive AI Innovation and Engineering Productivity: Embed AI/ML capabilities into products and engineering workflows, including AI-assisted development, automated code reviews, predictive product intelligence, intelligent testing, and automation-first CI/CD and infrastructure provisioning.
• Own Cloud Economics and Operational Efficiency: Manage Azure budgets and total cost of ownership through FinOps practices, resource optimization, autoscaling, reserved capacity, infrastructure rightsizing, and measurable SaaS unit economics such as cost per user.
• Establish Metrics-Driven Engineering Excellence: Define and monitor engineering KPIs, including DORA metrics, release predictability, system availability, defect ratios, productivity, and customer-impact metrics to continuously improve delivery quality, reliability, and operational performance.
• Lead Teams, Stakeholders, and Business-Aligned Delivery: Build and mentor a high-performing engineering organization, foster a culture of innovation and accountability, partner with executive, sales, and product leadership, and translate technology strategy into measurable business value and customer outcomes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 15-20 years of experience in technology, including proven leadership as a CTO, VP of Engineering, Head of Engineering, or Head of Technology within a product-centric organization.
• Strong full-stack technical expertise, with deep knowledge of modern technologies, software design, architecture, and cloud platforms particularly Azure.
• Proven architectural leadership across microservices, event-driven architecture, API management, scalable SaaS platforms, and legacy-system modernization.
• Strong financial and operational acumen, including technology P&L ownership, cloud cost optimization, FinOps, budgeting, and total cost of ownership management.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence promoters, board members, executive leadership, customers, and external partners.
