Job summary

Ornate Solar in Delhi, India, seeks a Head of Engineering to lead the engineering function, drive product development, and ensure technical excellence across solar and energy storage solutions.

You will oversee strategy, design, testing, and execution for solar PV projects, BESS, and related systems while ensuring BIS, IEC, MNRE, CEA, IS and other standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience in solar, renewable energy, or BESS.
• Proven leadership in engineering, product development, and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering strategy for Pre Sales and Post Sales design, development, testing, and execution.
• Oversee engineering for solar PV projects, BESS, electrical systems, and related products
• Drive product development from concept to validation, certification, and commercialization.
• Ensure compliance with BIS, IEC, MNRE, CEA, IS, and relevant standards.
• Collaborate with operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Projects, and Sales teams.
• Drive cost optimization, product reliability, performance improvement, and design standardization.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership for complex projects, customer requirements, and new technology initiatives.
