Job summary

Alliance Recruitment Agency seeks a senior Billing Engineer/Quantity Surveyor to lead a large site-based team across India. You will oversee billing, prepare BOQs, manage costs, and ensure timely payments to contractors and suppliers.

The role requires extensive experience in ERP-based billing, cost estimation, and contract compliance, with strong leadership and communication skills to drive project success and financial control.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in billing engineering or quantity surveying in construction.
• 5+ years in team leadership and management.
• Master's degree preferred in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Bachelor's degree with substantial experience acceptable.
• ERP systems experience (SAP or others) preferred.
• Proficiency in cost estimation and billing software.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 20+ site-based billing engineers across India.
• Develop a senior billing engineer team to handle increased workload and project volume.
• Oversee all billing reporting and activities using SAP S4HANA ERP.
• Prepare and manage detailed BOQs based on drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare quantity estimates for construction activities.
• Verify subcontractor and supplier bills, ensuring timely payments.
• Prepare and submit interim payment applications and final bills to clients.
• Maintain and update project cost records, including variations and change orders.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers for accurate billing and cost control.
• Review and verify client contracts and agreements for compliance.
• Prepare and submit monthly billing reports and cost statements.
• Monitor project costs, highlight discrepancies or potential overruns.
• Assist in the preparation of tenders and contract documentation.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve billing-related issues.
• Conduct cost analysis and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Prepare and maintain project cash flow forecasts and budgets.
