Job summary

Maxima Executive Search is seeking a seasoned Head / Lead – Liaison to manage statutory approvals, regulatory clearances, and government liaison for large-scale real estate projects in Bangalore and Karnataka.

The role requires 15–20 years in liaison, regulatory affairs, and experience with major authorities; the successful candidate will develop approval roadmaps, coordinate with planning/legal teams, and ensure timely approvals and documentation.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of experience in Liaison / Statutory Approvals / Regulatory Affairs.
• Experience with large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use or high-rise projects in Bangalore/Karnataka.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Planning or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end statutory approvals and permissions for real estate projects.
• Liaise with BBMP, BDA, BMRDA, Karnataka RERA, KSPCB, BWSSB, BESCOM, Fire & Emergency Services, Airport authorities and other statutory bodies.
• Develop approval roadmaps aligned with project milestones and construction schedules.
• Manage government meetings, inspections, hearings, site visits and regulatory matters.
• Coordinate with Project, Planning, Design, Legal, Construction and external consultants.
• Monitor approval timelines, identify risks/bottlenecks and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage liaison consultants and ensure effective delivery of approval activities.
• Maintain approval trackers, statutory documentation, NOCs, licences and permits.

Candidate Profile

• Strong exposure to large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use or high-rise projects in Bangalore/Karnataka.
• Strong knowledge of Karnataka real estate regulations, development norms and approval processes.
• Established relationships with relevant government authorities will be preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and follow-up skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Planning or related discipline.
