Job summary

Abans Financial Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced Head of IT Infrastructure to lead the hybrid cloud and on-premise environment, cyber security and regulatory compliance for a capital markets trading setup in Mumbai.

You will oversee the infrastructure stack, ensure uptime, and drive resilience with a focus on low latency, risk controls and exchange connectivity. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in IT with leadership in trading/financial services, familiarity with SEBI/RBI guidelines and

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT experience with strong infrastructure leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in Servers, Storage, Network, Virtualization and Hybrid Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with AWS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Firewalls, Endpoint Security, SOC/SIEM and Cybersecurity.
• Good understanding of SEBI, RBI and Exchange regulations.
• Strong experience in DR, BCP, IT Governance and Risk Management.
• Experience with NSE/BSE connectivity, CTCL/NNF and trading infrastructure highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Hybrid IT Infrastructure – Cloud + On-Premise, including servers, storage, network, virtualization and data centres.
• Manage AWS/Azure/GCP environments, cloud security, backup, DR and cost optimisation.
• Ensure infrastructure availability, performance, monitoring and capacity planning.
• Manage firewalls, VPN, WAF, IDS/IPS, endpoint security and antivirus; oversee SOC/SIEM and incident response.
• Drive IT governance, risk management, DR and BCP; ensure regulatory compliance with SEBI/RBI guidelines.
• Oversee NSE/BSE exchange connectivity, testing, UAT, certification and production deployment.

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Head with a strong combination of enterprise infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and capital-markets technology expertise. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and strengthening the organisation’s hybrid IT infrastructure (Cloud + On-Premise), cybersecurity operations, network and server infrastructure, disaster recovery, business continuity, regulatory compliance, and exchange-connected technology environments. The role requires a technology leader who understands the criticality of uptime, resilience, security, low-latency connectivity, regulatory compliance, and business continuity within a trading/broking environment. The candidate will lead Infrastructure, Network and Security teams and work closely with Trading Operations, Application, DevOps, Information Security, Compliance, Risk, vendors, exchanges, and other business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Cloud

• Lead Hybrid IT Infrastructure – Cloud + On-Premise, including servers, storage, network, virtualization and data
  

centres.

• Manage AWS/Azure/GCP environments, cloud security, backup, DR and cost optimisation.
• Ensure infrastructure availability, performance, monitoring and capacity planning
  

Cybersecurity

• Manage firewalls, VPN, WAF, IDS/IPS, endpoint security and antivirus.
• Oversee SOC, SIEM, security monitoring, incident response and vulnerability management.
• Drive patch management, ransomware protection, PAM and security controls.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with SEBI, RBI and Exchange IT/cybersecurity guidelines.
• Manage regulatory, cybersecurity and system audits, documentation and closure of observations.
• Drive IT governance, risk management, DR and BCP.

Capital Markets & Exchange Technology

• Strong understanding of stockbroking technology architecture – OMS, RMS, Trading Applications, Market Data, APIs,
  

CTCL/NNF, Back Office and Clearing.

• Manage NSE/BSE exchange connectivity, segment activation, testing, UAT, certification and production deployment.
• Manage CTCL infrastructure, trading terminals, dealer users and API connectivity.
• Troubleshoot exchange connectivity, order routing, market-data feeds, latency and network issues.
• Ensure exchange-connected systems have appropriate HA, backup, DR and BCP
  

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor Infrastructure, Network, and Security teams.
• Allocate work, review performance, and drive operational excellence.
• Establish documentation standards, SOPs, and knowledge management practices.
• Collaborate with Trading, Application, DevOps, Information Security, Compliance, Risk, Vendors, and other
  

business stakeholders to ensure seamless infrastructure support and operational excellence.

Key Requirements

• 15+ years of IT experience with strong infrastructure leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in Servers, Storage, Network, Virtualization and Hybrid Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with AWS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Firewalls, Endpoint Security, SOC/SIEM and Cybersecurity.
• Good understanding of SEBI, RBI and Exchange regulations.
• Strong experience in DR, BCP, IT Governance and Risk Management.
• Experience with NSE/BSE connectivity, CTCL/NNF and trading infrastructure highly preferred.
• 10+ years of team management/leadership experience.
• Prior experience in Trading / Broking / Capital Markets / Financial Services / BFSI strongly preferred.

Preferred Certifications (Good To Have)

• Cloud: AWS Solutions Architect / Azure Administrator
• IT Governance/Security: ITIL, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISM, CISSP
• Virtualization/Systems: VMware, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server
• Networking/Security: CCNA, Fortinet NSE Certifications
• CISSP / CISM / ISO 27001 / ITIL / AWS / CCNA / Fortinet / VMware certifications would be an advantage.
