Job summary

Star Automobiles is seeking a Group Finance Head to lead finance strategies across multiple dealerships and verticals in India. You will drive IT-enabled centralization, manage treasury and working capital, and ensure rigorous governance on taxation, audits and compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and experience transforming finance functions within large retail or manufacturing groups.

Qualifications

• CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
• Strong expertise in financial planning, treasury, taxation, and audits.
• Understanding of ERP, MIS, BI and finance automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Finance Heads across all group dealerships and verticals.
• Develop and execute the group finance strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Drive centralization through IT enablement and automation, including payment systems, GST/taxation, audit and bank reconciliation.
• Lead group-level planning, budgeting, forecasting, treasury and working capital management.
• Ensure compliance with taxation, GST, income tax, statutory audits and legal requirements.
• Ensure timely closure of books, bank reconciliation, tax/vendor payments and salaries.
• Strengthen payment management, collections and internal financial controls.
• Lead internal audit cross-checks across Accounts, Sales and Service functions.
• Develop MIS, KPIs, dashboards and profitability reports for management reviews.
• Manage banking relationships, fundraising and cash flow to support expansion.
• Partner with business heads to improve efficiency, profitability and ROI.
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team

Preferred candidate profile

• 1520+ years of Finance leadership experience in large, multi-location organizations.


• Strong expertise in Financial Planning, Treasury, Taxation, Audit and Business Finance.


• Good understanding of ERP, MIS, Business Intelligence and finance automation.


• Proven experience in improving profitability, financial controls and business transformation.


• Automobile dealership experience preferred; candidates from large retail, distribution or manufacturing organizations may also be considered.


• CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification with strong commercial acumen and leadership capabilities.
