Head Finance

Location: Ahmedabad

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies to support the company’s growth objectives.
• Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to ensure optimal resource allocation and financial performance.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and projections.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and taxation laws.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure adherence to audit requirements.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational requirements and investment activities.
• Monitor banking relationships and optimize banking services to minimize costs and maximize returns.
• Implement effective cash management policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks related to market volatility, credit, liquidity, and operational issues.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement measures to address identified risks.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial plans and investment strategies.
• Evaluate potential business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships from a financial perspective.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making on strategic initiatives and business expansion.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
• Proven track record of at least 10 years in finance and accounting roles, with progressive experience in leadership positions.
