Job summary

Corenza in Kolkata, West Bengal, seeks an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance and accounting teams and drive the company’s financial health. The role encompasses treasury, cash flow management, and strategic planning across the mills’ operations.

The ideal candidate will have CA/CPA/CMA credentials with 12–15 years of senior financial leadership, preferably in manufacturing or textiles, and strong SAP experience to ensure robust financial controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA/CMA educational requirement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support long-term goals and advise on long-term business and financial planning.
• Oversee preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics; monitor and direct strategic plans.
• Prepare and present financial statements; conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Review MIS reports including monthly and quarterly P&L; analyze variances.
• Ensure efficient operation of finance function; manage cash flow and expense control; implement best practices to maximise revenue.
• Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile; monitor legal issues and implement reliable controls.
• Manage relationships with investors; represent the company with investment bankers; raise capital as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial statements; report results to the board.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and oversee transaction processing systems.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team; manage accounting and finance departments.
• Controlling statutory books and monitoring day-to-day SAPFI ERP transactions (GL, Bank, AR, AP, Assets).
• Compliance with direct and indirect tax rules; filing periodic returns.
• Coordinate with auditors for statutory audits, limited reviews, tax audits, cost audits, and internal audits.

Job Summary: The Financial Controller (FC) will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for the financial health and strategic planning of the company. This role involves managing the financial actions of the company, including accounting & treasury activities, tracking cash flow, financial planning, and analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses. The Controller will lead the finance & accounting team and play a pivotal role in coordination with other functional teams facilitating overall efficiencies at the mills.

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Develop and implement financial strategies to support the companys long-term goals and advise on long-term business and financial planning.
• 2. Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics. Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans.
• 3. Prepare and present financial statements and reports, Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• 4. Review of MIS reports including monthly & quarterly P&L and analysis of variances.
• 5. Ensure efficient operation of the finance function, managing cash flow and expense control processes. Implement operational best practices to maximise the revenue and develop financial and tax strategies.
• 6. Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile, monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry and also construct and monitor reliable control systems.
• 7. Manage relationships with investors and investment institutions, Represent the company with investment bankers and investors. Raise additional capital as necessary to fund company expansion.
• 8. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable regulations. Report financial results to the board of directors.
• 9. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Oversee the company’s transaction processing systems.
• 10. Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team. Manage the accounting and finance departments, ensuring the company's financial stability.
• 11. Controlling of statutory books of accounts of the company and monitoring of day-to-day transactions in SAPFI ERP environment such as GL, Bank, Account Receivable, Accounts Payable and Assets.
• 12. Compliance of the Rules & Regulations of the direct & indirect taxes and ensuring timely preparation and filing of periodic Returns.
• 13. Co-ordination with auditors for conducting statutory audit, limited review, tax audit, cost audit and internal audit.

Qualifications:

• Education: CA/CPA/CMA
• Experience: Minimum 12-15 years of progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in the manufacturing or textile industry.
