Job summary

Amor Management Consultants is seeking an ESG leader to drive Environmental, Social and Governance strategy across manufacturing, supply chain and operations, partnering with the COO and leadership to embed sustainability into business strategy and long-term performance.

The ideal candidate has 12–18 years’ experience in ESG leadership within manufacturing or related sectors, hands-on with ESG disclosures (including BRSR), cross-functional collaboration, and a track record of delivering

Job description

Job Purpose

Lead and integrate the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) agenda across the business, driving sustainable manufacturing practices, regulatory compliance, responsible business practices and long-term operational sustainability. The role will work closely with the COO and senior leadership to embed ESG principles into business strategy, manufacturing operations and supply chain practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the ESG strategy aligned with business objectives and operational priorities.
• Drive ESG integration across manufacturing, supply chain and business operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ESG regulations, statutory requirements, sustainability standards and disclosure frameworks.
• Lead preparation and implementation of BRSR and other ESG / sustainability reporting and disclosures.
• Drive environmental sustainability initiatives covering energy efficiency, carbon and emissions reduction, waste management, water conservation and resource optimization.
• Establish measurable sustainability targets and monitor progress through appropriate ESG metrics and dashboards.
• Lead social sustainability initiatives covering employee safety, employee well-being, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), CSR and community development.
• Strengthen governance frameworks covering business ethics, compliance, risk management and responsible business practices.
• Identify ESG-related risks and opportunities and develop appropriate mitigation and improvement plans.
• Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, EHS, HR, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions to embed ESG practices across the organization.
• Develop ESG dashboards, MIS and management reports to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Drive awareness and ESG capability-building initiatives across employees and key stakeholders.
• Engage with customers, auditors, regulators, consultants and other external stakeholders on ESG and sustainability matters.
• Benchmark ESG practices against industry standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support the organization in achieving sustainability targets and strengthening its ESG maturity and reputation.

Candidate Profile

• Industry: Candidates with strong experience in Manufacturing / Automotive / Aerospace / Engineering / Industrial sectors will be preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on exposure to ESG, sustainability, environmental compliance and operational sustainability is highly desirable.
• Candidates should have experience working with cross-functional teams and driving ESG initiatives across manufacturing operations and supply chains.
• Exposure to BRSR, ESG disclosures, sustainability reporting, carbon management and ESG risk frameworks will be preferred.

Education & Experience

• Qualification: Bachelors / Masters Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Management or a related discipline.
• Experience: 12–18 years of overall experience with significant exposure to ESG / Sustainability leadership, preferably within manufacturing or automotive organizations.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing ESG strategies and sustainability programs.
• Strong exposure to ESG regulations, sustainability reporting, environmental initiatives and governance frameworks.
