Job summary

Siemens Energy in India seeks a Head - Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation (EC&I) to lead the EC&I engineering team developing aeroderivative gas turbines within Distributed Gas Services. You’ll provide technical leadership, governance, and drive excellence across development programs, ensuring high-quality EC&I solutions and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12–15 years EC&I engineering experience in power generation, oil & gas, gas turbine, or turbomachinery.
• 3–5 years in engineering leadership role with people management.
• Strong technical expertise in gas turbine control systems, PLCs, DCS, SCADA, instrumentation systems, and electrical design.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of EC&I engineers with resource planning and performance management.
• Provide technical oversight for design, development, and integration of electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems for gas turbines.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet global standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of EC&I engineers, ensuring effective resource planning, performance management, and technical capability development.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 12-15 years of experience in EC&I engineering within the power generation, oil & gas, gas turbine, or turbomachinery industry, including 3-5 years in an engineering leadership role.
• Strong technical expertise in gas turbine control systems, PLCs, DCS, SCADA, instrumentation systems, and electrical design.
• Experience developing control philosophies, system architectures, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation specifications.
• Proven people management experience, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, and resource planning.
• Strong project execution, stakeholder management, risk management, and quality assurance experience.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills in a global and matrix organization.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent certification is an advantage.

You will be part of the Aeroderivative Gas Turbines Core Development organization, leading the EC&I team responsible for delivering innovative and reliable engineering solutions for gas turbine products. The team works closely with global engineering, product assurance, and project teams to support product development and technology advancement.
