Adani Cement in India seeks a senior Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Lead for coal mining operations. You will oversee electrical systems, substations, and HT/LT networks, while directing preventive maintenance of mine equipment and infrastructure to optimize uptime and safety.

Responsibilities include safety audits, statutory compliance, and managing project/contractor activities. A relevant engineering degree and extensive experience in underground mining are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Mining Machinery Engineering.
• Electrical Supervisory Competency Certificate and related certifications preferred.
• Good knowledge of DGMS regulations, CMR, Mines Act and Electrical Safety Rules.

Responsabilidades

• Electrical Management: ensure safe power supply for underground and surface ops.
• Oversee substations, transformers, switchgears, power distribution, HT/LT networks.
• Ensure DGMS electrical safety standards and inspections.
• Mechanical Maintenance: manage Continuous Miner, Shuttle Cars, LHDs, SDLs, belts, pumps.
• Develop preventive/predictive maintenance schedules to maximize availability.
• Mine Infrastructure Management: maintain dewatering, ventilation, handling systems.
• Safety & Statutory Compliance: audits, risk assessments, and safety protocols.
• Project & Contractor Management: oversee installation, commissioning, budgets, procurement; lead a team.

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mining Machinery Engineering.
• Electrical Supervisory Competency Certificate and relevant statutory certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of DGMS regulations, Coal Mines Regulations (CMR), Mines Act, and Electrical Safety Rules.

Experience

• 10-15 years of experience in coal mining industry.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in underground coal mines handling electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience in managing mine machinery, preventive maintenance, statutory compliance, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Management

• Ensure safe and uninterrupted power supply for underground and surface mining operations.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of substations, transformers, switchgears, power distribution systems, and HT/LT networks.
• Ensure compliance with DGMS electrical safety standards and statutory inspections.
• Monitor energy consumption and implement energy optimization initiatives.

Mechanical Maintenance

• Manage maintenance of Continuous Miner, Shuttle Cars, LHDs, SDLs, Belt Conveyors, Crushers, Pumps, Winding Systems, and other mining equipment.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment availability.
• Minimize equipment downtime through effective breakdown analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure proper inventory management of critical spares and consumables.

Mine Infrastructure Management

• Maintain mine dewatering systems, ventilation fans, compressors, and material handling systems.
• Ensure availability and reliability of all critical underground infrastructure.
• Coordinate modernization and mechanization projects for enhanced productivity.

Safety & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Mines Act, Coal Mines Regulations, DGMS Circulars, and environmental requirements.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and root cause analysis of incidents.
• Drive implementation of electrical and mechanical safety protocols.
• Ensure statutory examinations, testing, and certification of equipment.

Project & Contractor Management

• Lead installation, commissioning, and upgradation of mining machinery and electrical systems.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Manage E&M budgets, contracts, and procurement activities.
• Lead a team of electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Develop workforce capability through training and competency development programs.
• Foster a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
