Job summary

Adani Group seeks a seasoned leader to head Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance across a coal mine in Raigarh, ensuring uninterrupted operation and DGMS compliance.

You will manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, oversee substations and automation, and drive energy efficiency initiatives with 15+ years in E&I maintenance, leading engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Experience: 15+ years in Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance.
• Qualification: BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Operations & Maintenance - Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of all mine electrical installations.
• Manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of substations, transformers, HT/LT panels, switchgears, cables, and distribution systems.
• Ensure availability and reliability of electrical power for mining operations.
• Instrumentation & Automation - Maintain and monitor instrumentation systems in CHP, conveyors, pumping stations, and workshops.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure proper calibration and functioning of all instruments and monitoring systems.
• HEMM & Mining Equipment Support - Provide electrical support for HEMM including excavators, dumpers, dozers, graders, drills, water sprinklers.
• Monitor equipment health and implement reliability improvement plans.
• Statutory Compliance - Ensure compliance with DGMS, CEA, Electricity Act, Mines Act, and other regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and electrical audits.
• Maintain statutory records and documentation.
• Project Execution - Lead electrical infrastructure development projects.
• Plan and execute installation and commissioning of new systems and equipment.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors for project execution.
• Energy Management - Monitor power consumption and identify energy-saving opportunities.
• Implement energy efficiency initiatives across mining and coal handling operations.
• Track KPIs related to electrical performance and costs.
• Team Management - Lead and mentor engineers, supervisors, and technicians; develop manpower capability.
