Job summary

JSW Steel Goa invites an experienced Electrical Engineer to manage mine-site electrical maintenance, power distribution, and safety audits in line with DGMS. The role focuses on illumination, transformer and switchgear management, LO TO procedures, and efficient energy use.

The candidate will oversee SAP-related department activities, coordinate procurement, and ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of LT/HT equipment, breakers, and motors, with 5-10 years' field experience and DGMS

Qualifications

• Must possess B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical and DGMS Supervisory Certificate.

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage electrical maintenance activities at the mine site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Implementation of Illumination of Mines and periphery
• Safe power distribution network inside the mines for smooth operation of weighbridges.
• Conducting monthly safety & illumination audit as per DGMS guidelines and complying the improvement
• Oversee distribution planning, transformer & switchgear management, power transmission systems, LOTO procedures, earthing practices, and HT/LT equipment operations.
• Coordinate demand planning efforts to optimize energy consumption patterns and reduce costs.
• Supervise DG set operations and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Planning of material procurements and co-ordination with commercial team for finalization of order and implementation of SAP in the department
• Adherence to Preventive and Planned Maintenance, Corrective & Conditioned Based maintenance of Switchyard equipment & switchgear equipment, LT Breakers, LT Motors .
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
• B.Tech / B.E. degree in Electrical from a recognized institution & Electrical Supervisory Competency Certificate from DGMS.
• Strong knowledge of distribution planning, transformer & switchgear management, power transmission systems, LOTO procedures, earthing practices, HT/LT equipment operations.
