Olectra Greentech Limited is seeking a Head of Body Shop Quality to lead end-to-end quality assurance for shell, chassis frames and axles in commercial vehicle manufacturing. The role demands deep expertise in welding, dimensional quality, and process audits to ensure reliability and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will drive APQP/PPAP, lead a quality team, and manage supplier and customer quality initiatives, with a track record of reducing defects and costs while promoting a culture

Qualificações

• 18–20+ years of automotive manufacturing quality experience.
• Strong leadership in quality teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Expertise in body-in-white, body shell, chassis, axles, welding, and dimensional quality.
• Knowledge of quality systems and continuous improvement tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead quality assurance for body shell, chassis, axles, welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Establish and implement quality standards, inspection plans, control plans, and process audits.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy through GD&T, fixture validation, CMM, and dimensional inspection.
• Drive APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone methodologies.
• Monitor welding quality, weld strength, joint integrity, and structural defects in body and chassis manufacturing.
• Reduce rejection, rework, scrap, and warranty costs through continuous improvement and corrective actions.
• Manage supplier quality, incoming inspection, process capability, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Lead customer audits, internal audits, non-conformance management, and cross-functional problem-solving.
• Develop quality teams and establish a strong culture of prevention, accountability, and zero defects.

Role Summary

Lead end-to-end quality assurance for body shell, chassis frames, and axles in commercial vehicle manufacturing, ensuring product reliability, dimensional accuracy, welding integrity, process compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance for body shell, chassis frame, axles, welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Establish and implement quality standards, inspection plans, control plans, and process audits.

Candidate Profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering.
• 18–20+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing quality, preferably in commercial vehicles, buses, trucks, or EV manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in body-in-white/body shell, chassis frames, axles, fabrication, welding, and dimensional quality.
• Proven experience in quality leadership, team management, supplier development, and customer quality.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, automotive quality systems, and continuous improvement tools.
