Job summary

Biolitec in India is seeking an embedded hardware designer to develop and integrate hardware with software, focusing on schematics, PCBs, and test validation. The role requires collaboration with software teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration and robust performance testing.

The candidate will design analog/digital circuits, manage PCB layouts, and oversee manufacturing readiness while keeping pace with industry standards and design trends.

Qualifications

• Experience in analog and digital circuit design and schematic updates.
• Strong knowledge of discrete components and battery-operated circuits.
• Proficient in PCB design and Gerber release.
• Experience with MCUs: MSP430/AVR/STM32/NXP/ARM Cortex-M4.
• Expertise in USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, RS-485/232, etc.
• RFID reader board design experience is a plus.
• Familiar with EMI/EMC testing; IEC standards optional.
• Proficient in PCB design tools OrCAD/Altium, etc.

Responsibilities

• Determine hardware requirements along with design and engineering teams.

• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure software compatibility and integration with hardware components.

Role & responsibilities

• 1. Determine hardware requirements along with design and engineering teams.
• 2. Designing and developing embedded hardware, schematics, and PCBs for micro controllers, processors, memory modules, and communication components.
• 3. Collaborating with software engineers to ensure software compatibility and integration with the hardware components.
• 4. Testing hardware prototypes and analyzing and interpreting performance data.
• 5. Troubleshooting and diagnosing h/w issues and suggesting suitable repairs or modifications.
• 6. Overseeing the manufacturing process of electrical components to ensure they meet the design specifications.
• 7. Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in computer technology and design trends.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1. Analog and Digital circuit design, preparing / updating schematics.
• 2. Good understanding of Diodes, Transistors, MOSFETs, OP-AMPMs and Rechargeable Battery-operated circuits.
• 3. PCB Design: System Requirements & Hardware Requirement PCBA Design and Proto development, PCB designing (PCB Stackup) as well as Gerber generator and release for fabrication.
• 4. Hardware Design Documentation.
• 5. Micro Controllers: MSP430, AVR, STM 32, NXP, Arm (Cortex M4)
• 6. Peripheral h/w design: USB, Ethernet, SPI, PWM, ADC, RS422, RS-232, RS-485, I2C, MII,
• 7. RFID Reader board design: HF RFID Reader based on MFRC522 NXP Chip. Good To Have.
• 8. Standards: IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, ISO 14971 -- Optional.
