Job summary

CosMicIT is seeking a Hardware Asset Manager in India to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware assets, maintain accurate records, and optimize asset governance and costs. You will steward inventory accuracy in HAM and CMDB, coordinate with Procurement, Finance, IT Support, Infrastructure and vendors, and drive audits and data quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT asset management experience.
• Strong understanding of HAM lifecycle and ITAM best practices.
• Experience with asset inventory, reconciliation, stockroom and disposal.
• Knowledge of CMDB and configuration management.
• Experience with HAM tools, preferably ServiceNow HAM.

Job Description - Hardware Asset Manager

Position Summary

The Hardware Asset Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware assets, ensuring accurate asset records, effective inventory management, governance, compliance, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the end-to-end Hardware Asset Management (HAM) process.
• Govern the hardware asset lifecycle from procurement and receiving through deployment, transfer, maintenance, refresh, and disposal.
• Ensure accurate asset inventory and maintain data quality within the HAM and CMDB platforms.
• Manage asset allocation, ownership, stockrooms, warehouses, and inventory controls.
• Track asset movement, transfers, returns, and reconciliation activities.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, IT Support, Infrastructure, Security, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with asset policies, audit requirements, licensing obligations, and disposal standards.
• Identify duplicate, obsolete, missing, or unaccounted-for assets and drive corrective actions.
• Manage hardware asset audits and periodic physical inventory verification.
• Support hardware refresh, warranty, maintenance, and lifecycle planning.
• Monitor asset data quality and drive process improvements and automation.
• Prepare asset reports, dashboards, and governance updates for stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of relevant experience in IT Asset Management
• Good understanding of the hardware asset lifecycle and ITAM best practices.
• Experience with asset inventory, reconciliation, stockroom, procurement, and disposal processes.
• Knowledge of CMDB and Configuration Management principles.
• Experience with ITAM/HAM tools, preferably ServiceNow HAM.
