Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services is seeking a Half Technician in Mumbai to support the workshop team with routine mechanical repairs, component removal and basic overhauling work for premium and luxury vehicles.

You will assist in inspections and various mechanical tasks under Senior Technicians, using basic tools and following safety procedures to maintain high workmanship standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ITI or automotive trade qualification preferred; entry-level candidates may be considered.
• 1–2 years of relevant workshop experience preferred.
• Experience in Toyota, Hyundai, Skoda, Kia or similar workshops preferred.

Role & responsibilities

HALF TECHNICIAN

As a a Half Technician to support the workshop team in carrying out routine mechanical repairs, component removal and installation, and basic overhauling work.

The Half Technician will work under the guidance of Senior Technicians/Technicians and assist in maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and cleanliness while working on standard, premium and luxury vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Technicians in vehicle inspection, servicing and repair activities.
• Perform brake system overhauling, including removal, cleaning, inspection and refitting of components under supervision.
• Perform suspension component removal, inspection and overhauling.
• Assist in steering system overhauling and related mechanical work.
• Carry out removal and installation of basic mechanical components as instructed.
• Assist Senior Technicians during major repair and maintenance jobs.
• Use workshop hand tools, lifting equipment and other tools safely and correctly.
• Follow instructions, workshop procedures and manufacturer-recommended practices.
• Maintain proper cleanliness of the work area, tools and vehicle during repair work.
• Identify and report unusual noises, damage, wear or other mechanical issues to the Technician/Senior Technician.
• Ensure all assigned work is completed properly and within the required time.
• Follow workshop safety procedures while handling vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Support the team in maintaining professional workmanship standards suitable for premium and luxury vehicles.

Preferred candidate profile

Basic knowledge of automobile mechanical systems.

Practical understanding of brakes, suspension and steering systems.

Ability to use basic automobile workshop tools.

Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Ability to follow technical instructions accurately.

Good discipline, teamwork and work attitude.

Commitment to workshop safety and cleanliness

Qualification & Experience

• ITI / Automobile / Mechanical trade qualification preferred.
• Freshers / ITI Apprentices: Candidates with basic automobile knowledge may be considered for an entry-level role.
• 1-2 years of relevant automobile workshop experience preferred.
• Candidates with experience in Toyota, Hyundai, Skoda, Kia or similar automobile workshops will be preferred.
