Job summary

BR Hospitals in Tamil Nadu seeks a qualified Gynecologist/Obstetrician to provide comprehensive pregnancy and gynecologic care. You will manage OPD, prenatal and delivery services, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

The role requires MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynecology, valid medical council registration, and 1–3 years of experience. Strong communication and calm decision-making are essential for on-call duties in a busy hospital.

Qualifications

• MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Valid KMC/State Medical Council registration.
• 1-3 years of experience in gynecology and obstetric practice (freshers with strong clinical exposure can also apply).
• Experience in managing pregnancy care, deliveries and gynecological procedures.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and handle on-call duties.
• Knowledge of hospital protocols and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gynecological and obstetric care including OPD consultations, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Handle prenatal, antenatal, delivery, and postnatal care for patients.
• Conduct routine gynecological examinations, Pap smears, scans, and preventive screenings.
• Diagnose and manage conditions such as PCOS, infertility, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, and reproductive health issues.
• Perform normal deliveries, C-sections, and gynecological procedures/surgeries as required.
• Provide guidance on family planning, contraception, menopause management, and women's health awareness.
• Coordinate with pediatricians, anesthetists, nurses, and OT staff for effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
• Handle emergency cases and ensure timely medical intervention when required.
• Ensure high standards of patient safety, ethics, and clinical care
