Job summary

ValueMomentum is seeking a Technical Leader to guide a team delivering Guidewire-based implementations for P&C clients. You will lead configuration, integration, and customization activities across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter, shaping design artifacts and POC demos.

You’ll mentor the offshore team and ensure seamless onsite/offshore collaboration. The role requires strong Guidewire expertise, cloud familiarity, and excellent communication skills to drive multi-project delivery

Qualifications

• 7-12 years overall IT experience with minimum 5 years on Guidewire InsuranceSuite.
• Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter (v10.x or Cloud).
• Knowledge of Guidewire integration frameworks (SOAP/REST APIs, Messaging).
• Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud offerings like APD, Integration Gateway, and Underwriting Workbench.
• Expertise in configuration and development of various Guidewire areas.
• Configure, build & develop Guidewire components using GOSU, Wizards, PCF, Data Model, Workflow, Activities, Product Designer etc.
• Experience with XML, GUnit, Jenkins, GIT, TFS; code coverage or code scanning tools like SonarQube.
• Experience with app servers like IBM WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, TomCat.
• DB servers like SQL, Oracle or DB2; excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Identify value additions that can be built as configuration components and reused across projects.
• Coordinate with business users, analysts, and team members to understand requirements and configure complex rules/workflows.
• Troubleshoot & resolve technical issues; provide solutions & workarounds.
• Lead, mentor & coordinate with the offshore team.
• Oversee daily onsite/offshore communication and status reporting to client & project leadership.
• Oversee daily task allocation, monitoring and status reporting.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Lead – Guidewire, your day-to‑day work activities will be as follows:

• Lead and drive a team of developers in a fast‑paced environment while solving difficult business problems.
• Provide technical leadership in Guidewire configuration, integration, and customization.
• Prepare and enhance design documents that would be needed to support product configuration – Field mapping, Data definition, rules definition and so on
• Responsible for leading the solutioning efforts by developing and presenting POCs Configure, build & develop Guidewire components using GOSU, Wizards, PCF, Data Model, Workflow, Activities, Product Designer etc.
• Identify value additions that can be built as configuration components and reused on multiple projects, to gain efficiency / productivity
• Coordinate with business users, business analysts, and team members to understand the business requirements and configure complex business rules and workflows.
• Trouble shoot & resolve technical issues, provide solutions & workarounds to critical requirements
• Lead, mentor & coordinate with the offshore team.
• Oversee and contribute to daily communication / reports between onsite and offshore
• Oversee daily task allocation, monitoring and status reporting to the client & project leadership

Requirements

The incumbent must –

• 7-12 years overall IT experience with minimum 5 years on Guidewire InsuranceSuite
• Strong hands‑on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter (v10.x or Cloud)
• Knowledge of Guidewire integration frameworks (SOAP/REST APIs, Messaging).
• Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud offerings like APD, Integration Gateway, and Underwriting Workbench.
• Expertise in configuration and development of various areas of Guidewire – Transactions, Job configuration, Experience in implementing multiple LOBs, Forms Management, Administration, Account Management, Contacts and so on.
• Configure, build & develop Guidewire components using GOSU, Wizards, PCF, Data Model, Workflow, Activities, Product Designer etc.
• Experience with using XML, GUnit, Jenkins / GIT /TFS etc., any code coverage or code scanning tools like SonarQube
• Experience in using app servers like IBM WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, TomCat etc.
• Have previous experience in using DB Servers like SQL, Oracle or DB2
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Skill Set:

Candidates with these extra skills on their resumes have an added advantage while getting their profile assessed. Some of them are as follows:

• Guidewire certifications (e.g., PolicyCenter Configuration, Integration, or ACE).
• Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Exposure to Guidewire Digital (Jutro, React) and front‑end technologies.
• ITIL or Agile/Scrum certification.
