Job summary

Apollo Tyres Ltd is seeking a Group Manager for 2/3W Product Industrialization at the Chennai R&D unit. The role reports to Head T3W R&D Asia and leads the Industrialization of OE and NPD projects in line with budgets and plans.

The candidate should have 12+ years in the tyre/automobile sector, with expertise in APQP, quality standards, DFMEA/PFMEA, and strong project leadership.

Qualifications

• 2/3W Tyre manufacturing process.
• 2/3W Tyre engineering and design.
• APQP / Quality standards / IATF 16949.
• DFMEA / PFMEA.
• MS Office / MS Project/Power BI/ SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead category product Industrialization in alignment with NPD plan and Budget.
• Execute size extension / plant transfer and process improvement projects.
• Identify, plan, validate & execute product profitability and change management projects.
• Work with product development to industrialize OE and NPD projects on time.
• Drive VAVE projects and ensure implementation as per plan.

Purpose of the Job: Responsible

A. To lead category productIndustrialization in alignment with NPD plan and Budget
B. Execute size extension / planttransfer and process improvement projects
C. To identify, plan, validate & execute the product profitability and change management projects

Major Responsibilities:

Work closely with product development team and ensure the industrialization of OE and NPD projects as per timeline.
Industrialization strategy and alignment with all stake holder for allocation of PI plan and execution for timely NPD / OE sample submission.
Technical / manufacturing feasibility signoff with plant technology.
Drive the VAVE projects and ensure implementation as per plan.
Ensure the costing validation of NPD / OE and support PD team for forecasting on the product profitability during the initiation stage.
Conduct review and validation of change management with all stake holder
SOPs & standards establishment with respect to process
Support plant standardization projects and reduce complexity
Pilot run to SOP with target yield & PPAP support for OE projects
Outsource unit periodic process audit & corrective action follow-up with OS technical Head for complaint reduction.
Circulate Monthly product Industrialization MIS
