The role bridges strategy and execution, partnering with Engineering Managers, Delivery teams, and leadership to drive delivery governance and capability growth.

The Group Manager will oversee resource planning, mentoring of engineering leaders, and coordination with stakeholders to optimize utilization and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 15–18+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience leading multiple engineering teams and managers.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices and Agile delivery.

Position Summary

The Group Manager is responsible for leading a portfolio of engineering teams, ensuring successful delivery, engineering excellence, people development, and operational health across multiple customer engagements. The role bridges engineering strategy and execution by working closely with Engineering Managers, Delivery teams, Architects, and the Engineering Service Line leadership. The Group Manager focuses on delivery governance, capability growth, resource planning, and continuous improvement rather than day-to-day technical implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering delivery across multiple projects/accounts and ensure delivery health.
• Drive engineering excellence through standards, best practices, automation, and AI-assisted engineering.
• Lead, coach, and mentor Engineering Managers and senior technical leaders.
• Support resource planning, staffing, hiring, and utilization across teams.
• Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and support governance and escalations.
• Drive operational excellence through delivery metrics, quality, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

• Required: 15–18+ years of experience in software engineering. Experience leading multiple engineering teams and managers. Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices and Agile delivery. Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Knowledge of DevOps, Platform Engineering, and cloud-native architectures. Exposure to AI-assisted software engineering and engineering governance. Experience with financial planning, resource management, and portfolio governance.
