Job summary

VML in Mumbai is seeking a Group Head – Experience Designer (UX) to lead experience design across platforms, shaping strategic concepts and human-centered outcomes. You will collaborate with experience strategy, UI/UX leads, and cross-functional teams to align client goals with design outcomes.

You will mentor junior designers, drive design thinking workshops, and oversee multiple high-impact projects across industries while staying current with trends in experience design and storytelling.

Qualifications

• Experience in human-centered design methods and techniques.
• Experience in UX design, design systems, component libraries, pixels and interface design for mobile/web – responsive/native design and platform-based solutions.
• Ecommerce experience is preferred.

Role: Group Head – Experience Designer (UX)

Reporting to: Chief Experience Officer

Location: Andheri, Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a strategic and conceptual vision across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate withexperience strategy and UI and UX Lead to define the experience based on human-centered needs and client goals andobjectives. Keeper ofstrongdesignprocessesand methodologies.
• Facilitate designthinkingworkshopswithclientsandinterpretartifactsintobusinessanduserneeds
• Guide designerstodefine anddesign– diverge and converge ideas.
• MentorjuniorUX designers,visual designers, and content writers to execute design vision.
• Partner with project management and front client conversations from a variety of industries. Experience in BFSI, FMCG, and Automotiveis a plus.
• Studyindustry trends andexperience design practices.

Skills And Competencies

• 5–7 Years of industry experience, with emphasis on human-centered design.
• Experienceinuser-centereddesignmethodsandtechniques.
• Experience in UX design,design systems,componentlibraries,pixelsand interface designfor mobile/ web -responsive/native design and platform-basedsolutions.
• Ecommerce experience is preferred
• Digitalagencyexperienceandbackgroundpreferred.
• Experience working on and leading multiple projects simultaneously across largecross-disciplineagile teams.
• Ability to distil complex ideas into simple concepts, defend thework,and be theexpertin the room.
• Strongcommunicationandpresentationskills.
• Strongexperiencedesignstrategyskillsandaneyeforcompellingvisual storytelling
• Abletofindcreativewaystogetthingsdoneeffectivelyandcollaboratively.
• Proficient with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, In Vision, Miro for designingand prototypingsolutions.
• Open and curious to learn and grow skillsinother areas ofdesign.
• Continuouslearnerof new things, promoting it, usingitand finding new tools for effective implementation.
• Bonus points foradditionaldesign capabilities and interests – Org design / Culturedesign,ServiceDesign,EX,Circulardesign,Sustainability,Graphicdesign,etc.
