Job summary

MGM Healthcare in Chennai invites a Chartered Accountant with a strong background in healthcare finance to join as Group Finance Controller. You will lead consolidation, MIS, audits, cash flow and vendor payments for a multispecialty hospital network.

Reporting to CFO, you will drive ERP transitions (SAP, Oracle, Tally), optimize revenue cycle, insurance claims, and financial controls while mentoring finance teams across hospital units.

Qualifications

• CA with healthcare finance experience is required.
• 8+ years in financial management, including at least 3 years in multispecialty hospital/healthcare.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial controls is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial consolidation and MIS reporting, oversee statutory audits, and liaise with bankers and rating agencies.
• Ensure compliance with direct and indirect taxation requirements.
• Manage liquidity and working capital and oversee vendor payments for medical supplies, equipment, and services.
• Oversee accounting operations, payroll, AP, GL reconciliations, and internal controls.

Are you a Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong background in healthcare finance and a passion for driving financial excellence? Join our team as Group Finance Controller and play a strategic role in shaping the financial performance of a leading healthcare organization.

Role: Group Finance Controller

Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial consolidation, MIS reporting, statutory audits, and liaise with bankers and credit rating agencies.
• Ensure compliance with direct and indirect taxation requirements.
• Manage liquidity and working capital while ensuring smooth vendor payments for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and general vendors.
• Oversee accounting operations, payroll, accounts payable, general ledger reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Drive process improvements, ERP transitions, automation, and real-time CFO dashboard reporting.
• Partner with COOs, Clinical Directors, Internal Auditors, and department heads to support strategic decision‑making.
• Lead the end‑to‑end revenue cycle, optimize insurance & TPA claims, reduce accounts receivable, and minimize claim denials.
• Mentor and develop finance teams across hospital units.

What We're Looking For

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Experience: 8+ years in financial management, including at least 3 years in a multispecialty hospital or healthcare environment.
• Technical Skills: Experience with Hospital Information Systems/Medical Billing Software, ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.), and Advanced Microsoft Excel.
