Qualifications

• Experience in packaging/carton printing is a plus.

Role Description

The Graphic Designer Prepress role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. This role involves creating and adapting print-ready designs for mono cartons, preparing artwork files for production, and ensuring that all designs meet technical and quality specifications. The Graphic Designer Prepress will perform preflight checks, manage color separations, set up die-lines, and ensure accurate trapping, bleed, and resolution for press. The role includes close collaboration with the printing and production teams, troubleshooting file issues, and maintaining consistency with client brand guidelines and regulatory requirements. The individual will also support continuous improvement by suggesting design and prepress process enhancements aligned with advanced printing techniques.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Print Production and Printing, with a clear understanding of packaging print workflows.
• Proficiency in Print Design and Pre-press processes, including preparing artwork for offset and packaging presses.
• Experience with Preflight checks to validate files for color, fonts, resolution, and layout accuracy.
• Hands-on expertise in industry-standard design and prepress software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, PDF preflight tools).
• Knowledge of color management, CMYK and spot colors, and working with different substrates and finishes.
• Attention to detail, strong visual sense, and ability to interpret technical specifications and dielines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with production, quality, and client service teams.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or a related field; prior experience in packaging or carton printing is an advantage.
