Job summary

Magna Steyr invites applications for a Graduate Engineer Trainee (Apprentice) to design and develop automotive parts. The role focuses on CAD tasks in UG NX and Catia, with emphasis on 3D/2D modeling and drawing reading. You will report to Lead Engineer/Asst.

Manager/Manager and contribute to on-time task delivery. Eligible candidates are 2024–2026 passouts in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Eng, with good communication and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering with 2024/2025/2026 passouts.
• Exposure to automotive engineering and design.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute CAD tasks (3D/2D) in UG NX or CATIA.
• Read drawings and understand plastics basics.
• Meet daily CAD task delivery targets.
• Follow Magna/lead instructions and processes.
• Ensure quality checks on tasks.

Design and development of automotive Parts.

Reporting to

Lead Engineer/Asst. Manager / Manager

Responsibilities/ task

Key Responsibilities with brief description according to priority

• Execute the CAD tasks (3D & 2D) in required CAD software (UG NX /Catia)
• Having knowledge of drawing reading & basics of plastics
• Ensure daily delivery targets for given CAD tasks
• Follow defined Methodology for creation of UG NX / Catia models and drawings
• Follow defined Magna Steyr processes, customer standards and maintain quality and follow the lead instructions
• Understand lead requirement, clarify inputs and perform the task accordingly
• Ensure to follow quality check process for the assigned task

• On time delivery
• Zero quality issue
• Process compliance 100 %
