Job summary

Textron Aviation is seeking a Graduate Engineer to support Engineering Data Management in Bangalore. You will handle Product Configuration, EBOM integrity, and documentation control, while coordinating with Project Engineering to ensure release quality.

The role requires 1–2 years CAD experience with Solidworks, CATIA or AutoCAD and familiarity with ENOVIA PLM systems. This is a full-time position in an aviation engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Aerospace/Automobile Eng with CAD exposure.
• 1–2 years CAD experience required (Solidworks/AutoCAD/CATIA).
• Familiarity with PLM and engineering release processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Product Configuration and EBOM integrity.
• Update ENOVIA data per procedures and revisions.
• Review drawings and engineering change activity.
• Set up Change Tasks and ECOs in ENOVIA PLM.
• Coordinate with engineers and manufacturing to resolve issues.
• Audit EBOM and drawings according to policy.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for operational tasks associated with Product Configuration, Engineering Bill of Material (EBOM) Integrity, and Document Control.
• Update / maintain Engineering Data Management team database information relative to Configuration Management following company procedures.
• Allocate company specifications and revisions per company policies and procedures.
• Review drawings and specifications for engineering drawing change completeness, coordinating discrepancies with Project Engineering.
• Follow team procedures to ensure the quality of release of a document.
• Set up Change Tasks and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) within ENOVIA, the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
• Audit drawings and EBOM per company policies and procedures.
• Supplier document routing, SOS and SUB collector's support
• Standards release activity and data management in ENOVIA.
• Coordinates with other engineering and manufacturing personnel to coordinate design function and resolve technical problems.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Basic Knowledge of CAD software’s (CATIA V5V6, Solidworks)
• Ability to read Engineering drawings and Part lists.
• Understanding of 2D & 3D design concepts
• Ability to read and produce 2D drawings using standard industry practices.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management software’s (ENOVIA)
• Time management skills to support multiple concurrent projects.
• Basic Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Excellent written, verbal communications skills and interpersonal skills are essential to communicate with domestic and foreign counterparts.
• Candidate should possess good understanding of concepts and practical approach to problem solving.
