Position Overview

Post: Senior Research Fellow

Number of Posts: 1

Project: “Evaluation and in vivo validation of tryptanthrin analogues as potent lead molecules for malignant melanoma chemotherapy”.

Principal Investigator: Dr. Ruby John Anto

Age: Below 35 years as of 5 February 2021; age relaxation allowed as per Government of India standards.

Duration

Provisionally for one year with possibility to extend up to three years or until project termination, based on yearly performance evaluation. Final appointment after CSIR approval; salary disbursed upon final approval.

Essential Qualifications

• Qualified National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC NET (Lectureship/Assistant Professorship), GATE, or national level exams such as DBT‑Biotechnology Eligibility Test, JBEEBILS, ICMR Entrance Exam.
• At least 2 years documented research experience (excluding MSc project work) in a relevant area.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with animal cell culture and animal tumour models; prior animal handling experience.
