Job summary

Aceolution is seeking a cloud engineer to design, develop, implement, automate, and optimize GCP-based cloud environments ensuring security and reliability. You will work with Dataproc, Dataflow, Composer, BigQuery, and GCS, implementing IaC and DevOps for scalable data solutions.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of GCP experience, strong Python skills, and a solid background in data platforms and ML concepts. Collaboration across geographies and teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in cloud-based development, preferably with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms, including Firebase.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Knowledge of databases and data platforms such as SQL and BigQuery.
• Understanding of Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI concepts.
• In-depth knowledge of GCP services (GCE, Cloud Monitoring/Logging).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation tools.
• Experience with GCP data/services like Dataproc, Dataflow, Composer, BigQuery, and GCS.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, automating, and optimizing cloud environments and solutions while ensuring security, reliability, and alignment with Google Cloud best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, operate, and debug cloud environments using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud management platforms.
• Evaluate engineering designs for new cloud environment builds and recommend improvements to enhance product and process quality.
• Develop and maintain cloud-based applications and data solutions using GCP services.
• Implement automation and DevOps practices to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and service reliability.
• Work with distributed computing environments and monitor workflows for Big Data solutions.
• Utilize GCP services such as Dataproc, Dataflow, Composer, BigQuery, and Google Cloud Storage (GCS) to support data processing and analytics.
• Implement industry-standard security practices throughout the development and operational lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, applications, and workflow-related issues.
• Apply Google Cloud best practices and recommendations to meet customer requirements and deliver effective cloud solutions.
• Support service operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and cloud environment optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams to deliver technology solutions.
• Contribute to reporting, analytics, and dashboard development using relevant reporting tools and technologies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in cloud-based development, preferably with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms, including:

• In-depth knowledge of key GCP services, including:
• Google Compute Engine (GCE)
• Cloud Monitoring and Logging (formerly Stackdriver)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with workflow monitoring in distributed computing environments for Big Data solutions.
• Experience working with GCP data and workflow services such as Dataproc, Dataflow, Composer, BigQuery, and GCS.
• Knowledge of cloud design, implementation, engineering, automation, DevOps, service operations, and service improvement.
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau, Bigtable, Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio), and analytics dashboards.
• Google Workspace (G Suite) knowledge is an added advantage.
• Experience collaborating with teams across geographies and business functions.
