Job summary

EXL is seeking an experienced Senior Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer to design, develop, and manage scalable cloud solutions that meet our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Google Cloud services, architecture best practices, and cloud security.

You will lead migrations to GCP, implement IaC with Terraform or Deployment Manager, build CI/CD pipelines, optimize for cost and performance, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with at least 3 years focused on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong expertise in GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL.
• Proficient in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and CDN.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
