Job summary

The role requires knowledge of gold valuation techniques, regulatory compliance (KYC/AML), and detailed documentation. You will collaborate with loan officers and operations, mentor juniors, and contribute to audits and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Gemology or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in gold appraisal/valuation within banking or jewelry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inspection and verification of gold collateral for loan processing.
• Evaluate and determine market value of gold assets using standard testing methods and current rates.
• Maintain accurate appraisal records and detailed reports for audit purposes.
• Collaborate with loan officers and operations to ensure timely loan disbursement based on gold valuation.
• Stay updated with gold price fluctuations, market trends, and regulatory changes.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and AML guidelines during appraisal and processing.
