Responsibilities

• Production: deliver plant revenue & profitability; prepare monthly cash flow and production plan; monitor cost reductions.
• Maintenance: ensure plant availability >95%; safety equipment upkeep; AMC for equipment and QC instruments.
• Purchase: coordinate raw material availability; manage supply chain and procurement savings.
• Regulatory: ensure statutory compliances and renewals; liaise with government departments.
• Marketing & Project: coordinate with marketing for dispatches; drive new product development and CAPEX projects.
• QA/EC & Compliance: maintain ISO 9001/14001, USFDA, cGMP standards; zero customer complaints; GMP compliant plant.

Job description

Job Description/Responsibilities

The GM Operations will be overall responsible and accountable for Production, Audit compliance, maintenance of Plant, Purchase, Regulatory, HR, Marketing, Finance, ETP, EHS, Dispatches, QA, Dealing with Govt departments, introduction of new products, Projects review, deliver plant revenue and profitability.

1.

Production:

Deliver Plant Revenue & Profitability & Budget and Cost cutting planning.

• Preparation of monthly cash flow, Production Plan as per the forecast figures of AOP & to submit to corporate office by 19th of every month in co-ordination with Corporate Office Finance team.
• Delivery of Cash flow in full on month-to-month basis.
• Continuously monitor cost reduction programs to achieve lowest ZPT powder, ZPT 40%, ZPT 50% cost.
• To Stabilize Kopcolate Ca, Sodium Pyrithione production with required cost and to produce Kopcolate A with less than 0.2 PPM iron content.
• To Start and establish Kopdil Production cost improvement.
• To Ensure true and prompt updating entries through ERP on day to basis in respect of production, sales, inventory etc.,
• To deliver standard cost of the product as per budget. To run MRP

2.

Maintenance:

• To follow good maintenance practices including preventive maintenance to ensure plant availability above 95%
• Maintenance of all Safety equipment to ensure Zero Accidents & No Loss time Injury and report near misses.
• To have AMC for equipment, utility, QC Instruments, ACs, Cameras, Laptops, Computers etc.
• Maintenance cash flow

3.

Purchase:

• Effectively co-ordinate with Purchase department to ensure continuous raw material availability and continuously work on raw material cost reduction.
• Purchase plan cash flow
• Supply chain and inventory management.
• Reduction in purchase price, confirm supply of all material, introduction of new suppliers, Audit of all suppliers, etc. To deliver purchase savings as per plan

Regulatory:

• Statutory compliances Coordinating for Renewal of pollution control licenses and other statutory Licenses and taking consent for establishment of any new products from Central and state pollution control board before starting the production and other statutory authorities.
• To ensure cordial and healthy public relations and Liaising with all relevant government department time to time.
• Statutory Compliances with PCB, CPCB, Factory & Boiler, Electricity board for the new/renewal of license & consent of the plant and products.

5.

Marketing:

• To follow with marketing team for achieving the target. Ensure to run the plant in full capacity & achieve AOP
• To coordinate with Marketing team for all dispatches and ensuring proper supply of finish products. To coordinate with Marketing Team to give technical and Quality services to Customers.
• Full responsible for the sales of the unit. Co-coordinating with the customer for order, quality & contract.

6.

Project:

• To co-ordinate with Project team for on time implementation of the projects.
• New projects identification and implementation on time.
• Cash flow for project
• CAPES projects ensure the projects are completed within Budget and timeline

7.

ETP:

• To ensure proper maintenance and clearance of Effluents from the Effluent Treatment Plant as per the guidelines of the Pollution Control Board without infringement of the rules of the Central and State Governments.
• Cash flow for ETP.

8.

EHS:

• To co-ordinate Safety committee meeting on monthly basis to send report to corporate office.
• To ensure internal audits by corporate and EHS audits by external agencies are held at specified intervals and the compliance report submitted. To ensure there no CRITCAL OR MAJOR non confirmation found.
• Close the open EHS points raised from audits within 30days and ensure all time compliances
• To take all steps to ensure Safety of the Manpower along with the equipment and products.
• Cash flow for EHS
• Responsible to ensure Security and Safety of the entire plant.
• Responsible to ensure Zero Accidents at Plant.

9.

QA :

• To maintain systems in the plant at all times to ensure compliance with standards of ISO 9001: 2015 & ISO 14001: 2015, USFDA, cGMP and other certifications for the unit and to ensure that audit approval % is 100%.
• Co-ordination for regulatory requirements like REACH, DMF/ EDMF/CEP, Biocide Directive, EPA etc. as and when required.
• To ensure that customer complaints is ZERO.
• To maintain plant and surrounding areas as per Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

10.

New Products:

• To Coordinate with R&D Team and Tech process transfer for new product introduction.
• Drive New Product Development (NPD) initiatives and ensure effective execution of CAPEX projects and new product-related projects.
• Responsible for New Product development and technology transfer at Baroda and Dahej plant.

11.

Finance:

• Getting regular financial audit of the unit done by internal and external auditors as directed by the Management.
• Ensure true and prompt updating entries through ERP on day to basis in respect of production, sales, inventory etc.
• Preparation of monthly cash flow. Preparation of AOP of Unit in the month of January for next financial year.
• To Coordinate with Financial Controller for Cash Flow, Costing of Products, any Unit expansion, Financial Audit, Etc.
• Ensure the plant achieves PBT of 25%

12.

JOB Work

• Lead the hiring, development, and strengthening of job-work teams, and effectively manage and coordinate with job workers.
• To visit JOB workers to ensure & support them in delivering our requirement.

TASKS

Manufacturing

Taking overall responsibilities of Budget, Cashflow, PAT, Manpower, Project,ETP of JU/ EOU100% & Hassan

Safety & Environmental

Safety team to be established along with them to monitor safety and environmental issues with various Government Departments.

To take approval from various Government Departments and follow up for the same.

Purchase

Reduction in purchase price, confirm supply of all material, introduction of new suppliers, Audit of all suppliers, etc.To deliver purchase savings as per plan for 2014-15.

Logistics

Responsible for all logistic requirements of manufacturing units.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control

Responsible for all external Audit/Internal Audit, Safety Audit and Quality of Products and System

Finance

To Coordinate with Financial Controller for Cash Flow, Costing of Products, any Unit expansion, Financial Audit, Etc.

Miscellaneous

To take overall responsibility of operations as per Company Directive by organizing review meeting with GMs and as when needed

To participate discussions with every Product owner on weekly basis and get updated with the Management on their performance

To visit Hassan Plant on weekly basis and update on Manufacturing/QC/project/Safety & Environmental activities.

Salary cost

To see that salary should be brought down to 3% of total revenue generation of each plant.
