Job summary

Upman Placements in Hyderabad is seeking an End-to-End Global Mobility Specialist to manage the operational, legal, and financial processes of international assignees, including expatriation and repatriation, while serving as their main point of contact.

You will coordinate onboarding, immigration, vendor partners, policy alignment, and mobility data analytics, working with HRBPs, Talent, Rewards, and Finance to optimize assignments and track costs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in global mobility, international HR, or corporate immigration.
• Proficient in Excel and HR systems (like SAP DM) for tracking data and cost.
• Strong regulatory knowledge covering cross-border tax, labor laws, and visa processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, empathy for relocating employees, and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Employee Experience & Onboarding: support relocating staff from offer through first 30 days, handle travel, FOREX, housing, insurance, schooling allowances, and buddy setups.
• Immigration & Compliance: track permits/visas, draft invitation letters, coordinate with external counsel, ensure moves comply with laws across multiple countries.
• Vendor & Partner Coordination: oversee relocation agencies, immigration lawyers, insurers, and EoR partners.
• Policy, Process & HR Alignment: partner with HRBPs, Talent, Rewards, and Finance to determine assignment types, manage policy exceptions, and track costs.
• Data & Analytics: maintain mobility trackers, monitor visa expirations, and present mobility dashboards to leadership.

Role Summary :

This is an End-to-End Global Mobility Specialist position. Your core mission is to seamlessly manage the operational, legal, and financial processes of moving employees internationallyboth into new host countries (expatriation) and back home (repatriation)—while acting as their main point of contact.

Core Responsibilities

• Employee Experience & Onboarding: Supporting relocating staff from offer acceptance through their first 30 days in the new country. You will handle logistics like travel, FOREX, housing, insurance, schooling allowances, and host-country "buddy" setups.
• Immigration & Compliance: Tracking work permits/visas, drafting invitation letters, coordinating with external legal counsel, and ensuring all moves comply with local labor, tax, and immigration laws across multiple countries.
• Vendor & Partner Coordination: Overseeing external vendors—including relocation agencies, immigration lawyers, insurance providers, and Employer of Record (EoR) partners to ensure smooth execution.
• Policy, Process & HR Alignment: Partnering with Business HR (HRBPs), Talent, Rewards, and Finance to determine assignment types (short-term, long-term, transfers), manage policy exceptions, draft letters of assignment, and track assignment budgets/costs.
• Data & Analytics: Maintaining mobility trackers, tracking visa expiration dates, calculating benefits/gratuity, and presenting mobility dashboards to leadership.

Key Skills & Mindset Needed

• 5+ Years Experience in global mobility, international HR, or corporate immigration.
• Technical Proficiency in Excel and HR systems (like SAP DM) for tracking data and balance sheets.
• Regulatory Knowledge covering cross-border tax, international labor policies, and visa processes.
• Soft Skills: High empathy for relocating employees, strong stakeholder management, cross-time-zone flexibility, and comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Note : Candidates from manufacturing industry with global mobility experience prefer.
