Job summary

Dr Reddys Global Mobility team seeks a Global Mobility Partner to enhance the employee relocation experience across payroll, immigration, expenses, benefits, and local registrations.

The role partners with Business HR, Talent, Rewards, and other stakeholders to govern SOPs, assess mobility requests, ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and manage diverse mobility programs from short-term to international transfers.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end support to relocating employees on assignment-related matters: payroll, benefits, immigration, expenses, insurance, and local benefits.
  • Partner with Business HR and Talent teams to assess mobility requests and provide recommendations on assignment type, duration, cost, and compliance viability.
  • Draft, refine, interpret, and govern Global Mobility SOPs, including managing mobility exceptions in collaboration with Rewards, ensuring fair, compliant application.
  • Collaborate with business HR teams to understand employee mobility needs and support strategic talent movement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with local immigration laws, tax regulations, employment policies, and internal governance standards across jurisdictions.
  • Identify, flag, and mitigate immigration, tax, payroll, and compliance risks associated with global assignments.
  • Ensure mobility processes, documentation, and records are audit-ready and compliant.
  • Coordinate with external partners including immigration counsel, relocation service providers, insurance vendors, and EoR partners as required.
  • Manage and support different mobility programs, including short-term and long-term assignments, international transfers, and future EoR models.
  • Maintain accurate employee mobility records, tracking assignment durations, work permits, visa expiry dates, and milestones.
  • Track visas and manage visa preparation processes in coordination with immigration counsel; draft invitation letters and travel-related visa documentation.
  • Create and maintain mobility dashboards, trackers, and reports to support leadership decision-making and share status updates with Rewards CoE.
  • Track mobility-related costs and provide insights to support cost-effective mobility decisions.
  • Prepare and manage assignment documentation, letters of assignment, welcome emails, journey maps, checklists, and balance sheets; upload expatriate documents to the Personnel file.
  • Connect with employees post-offer acceptance to ensure ongoing support through immigration and relocation lifecycle including travel bookings, FOREX, home-country exit formalities, and host-country resources.
  • Track the employee journey from offer acceptance through relocation and the first 30 days in the host country.
  • Seek approvals and process LTA, Children Education Allowance, and other mobility-related payments.
  • Coordinate with host-country HR teams and buddies to enable smooth onboarding and settlement.
  • Calculate gratuity for exiting expatriates and assist Finance with annuity calculations.
  • Manage expatriate insurance enrollments and deletions with global vendors and census validation.
  • Partner with Total Rewards, Talent, SAP DM, Payroll, Finance, Admin, and Travel Desk to support end-to-end Global Mobility operations.
  • Support structured repatriation with HRBPs and Talent teams, focusing on role continuity and positive employee experience.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of mobility programs and processes to enhance efficiency, governance, and employee experience.
  • Strive to create a positive, compliant, and employee-centric experience for expatriating and repatriating employees.

Key Responsibilities

Enhance Employee Global Mobility Experience

  • Partner withBusiness HR and Talent teamsto assess mobility requests and provide recommendations onassignment type, duration, cost, and compliance viabilityaligned to business needs.
  • Draft, refine, interpret, and govern theGlobal Mobility SOPs, includingmanaging mobility exceptionsin collaboration withRewards, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant application.
  • Collaborate closely withbusiness HR teamsto understand employee mobility needs and support strategic talent movement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance withlocal immigration laws, tax regulations, employment policies, and internal governance standards across various jurisdictions.
  • Identify, flag, and proactively mitigate immigration, tax, payroll, and compliance risksassociated with global assignments.
  • Ensure allmobility processes, documentation, and records are auditreadyand aligned with internal and external compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate withexternal partners, including immigration counsel, relocation service providers, insurance vendors, and Employer of Record (EoR) partners, as required.
  • Manage and supportdifferent mobility programs, includingshortterm assignments, longterm assignments, international transfers,and future EoR models.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodateemployee mobility records, tracking assignment durations, work permits, visa expiry dates, and compliance milestones.
  • Track visas and manage visa preparation processesin coordination with immigration counsel; draftinvitation letters and travelrelated visa documentation.
  • Create and maintainmobility dashboards, trackers, and reports(e.g., active assignments, visa expiry risks, cost trends) to support leadership decisionmaking and share periodic status updates with theRewards CoE

  • Connect with employeespostoffer acceptance, ensuring continuous engagement and support throughout the immigration and relocation lifecycleincluding travel bookings, FOREX, homecountry exit formalities, transit support, temporary accommodation, insurance enrolment, and hostcountry resources.
  • Track the employee journey fromoffer acceptance through relocation and the first 30 days of arrivalin the host country.
