Hitachi Energy in Bengaluru seeks a confident and energetic Global Data Analyst to support data analysis and visualization efforts for the Marketing and Sales Performance Management team. You will develop reports and dashboards, ensuring data quality while collaborating closely with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, has 3-8 years of experience, and is proficient in Power BI, MS Excel, and data analytics techniques. Prior experience with Marketing & Sales teams is preferred, with a contractual position lasting six months.

To strengthen our marketing and sales operations team, we are looking for confident and energetic Global Data Analyst who will provide support to the Marketing and Sales Performance Management team with the necessary analytical and process support for effective implementation of M&S process and policies.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Market & Business Visibility team in M&S Performance Management to view processes, transactions, and determine how well processes are running and whether they deliver maximum value accurately and completely to the business.
• Data Visualization & Analytics; develop and maintain reports and dashboards (including Power BI, Salesforce.com reports and dashboards) for Marketing & Sales stakeholders; train stakeholders on usage of reports and dashboards.
• Proactively monitor and maintain high levels of data quality and completeness.
• Perform analysis and develop recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities and valuable insights across data sources. Manage user access permissions to files, systems, and services.
• Gather, interpret, and use complex data to develop actionable steps that improve processes and optimize results.
• Support key Marketing & Sales processes for Market and Demand estimations, Target setting and Growth Planning; maintain performance analysis dashboards.
• Provide deep-dive analysis to central performance management team and major stakeholders from regions and business units; assist in training stakeholders on report/dashboard usage.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI and related tools; build analysis services reporting models; develop visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards; connect to data sources and transform data for BI.
• Design methodology and project documentation; develop tabular and multidimensional models compatible with warehouse standards.
• Develop, publish, and schedule Power BI reports; understand business requirements and develop data models accordingly; prototyping and requirement analysis.
• Knowledge of secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure, SQL Data Warehouse, PolyBase, Visual Studio; integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics or API automation; develop custom visuals for Power BI.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical/data sciences/business discipline.
• 3 – 8 years of experience in complex data analysis, data visualization, and data reporting.
• 6-month contract position.
• Expertise in Power BI, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint is a must.
• Proficiency with statistics and data analytics.
• Affiliation with multiple data sources/database/retrieval systems; stakeholder management experience and customer orientation.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments in parallel and meet deadlines with quality results.
• Experience working with Marketing & Sales teams preferred; intermediate knowledge of Salesforce.com is an advantage.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
