About the Opportunity
As a Senior Global Compensation Specialist (for US and India employees), you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day management of Sagent’s global compensation programs to attract and retain top talent while ensuring compliance with legal standards. Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, this role gives you high visibility throughout the Company and the opportunity to be part of a growing FinTech organization. Experience managing compensation in US and India makes you an ideal candidate for the role! This role is hybrid.
Your Day-to-Day at Sagent
- Conduct Compensation Analysis: Evaluate job positions and determine classifications, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary ranges based on market data and internal equity.
- Job Evaluation and Classification: Prepare and manage job architecture and related documents, and salary ranges, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with federal and state laws.
- Policy Development: Plan, develop, and communicate compensation policies and procedures, including salary structures and variable pay.
- Advisory Role: Provide guidance to management and employees on compensation‑related issues, including salary complaints and promotions.
- Data Management: Prepare reports summarizing job analysis, compensation analysis, and organizational structures, utilizing statistical methods to support decision‑making.
- Research and Compliance: Stay updated on labor laws and regulations affecting compensation, ensuring organizational compliance and best practices.
- Assess and perform analysis on salary market data for US and India workforce, and prepare salary and variable pay data to facilitate compensation structures and functions.
- Prepare compensation statements and agreements, including sales compensation.
- Collaborate with management and People Operations on analysis and review of job classification and reclassification requests and management of the job architecture.
- Improve existing processes where possible.
- Regularly audit data for accuracy; work with internal and external auditors to pull reports and provide requested documentation.
We’d love to hear from you if you have
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in compensation management in US and India.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Prior experience in preparation of compensation statements and agreements.
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Excel spreadsheets.
- Team‑player mentality.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or Rippling.
- Knowledgeable in US and India wage and tax laws.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification preferred.
