Innovatia Inc. is seeking a hands-on GitHub Administrator to own day-to-day governance of the GitHub environment, ensuring repositories, teams, users, access, and workflows follow established standards.
The role focuses on managing organizations, repositories, teams, and permissions, implementing branch protections, CODEOWNERS, and templates, and providing support for Git, PRs, and GitHub Actions. Training and office hours may be included.
Own the day-to-day administration and governance of the GitHub environment, ensuring repositories, teams, users, access, and workflows arewell managedand follow established standards.
ManageGitHub organizations, repositories, teams, users, and permissions.
Create, configure, archive, andmaintainrepositories.
Manageteam structures, membership, and repository access.
Conduct regularaccess, repository, and team audits.
Manage repository standards including branch protection, CODEOWNERS, and templates.
Support users withGit, pull requests, branching, and GitHub workflows.
Provide basic support forGitHub Actionsand troubleshoot common issues.
Support teams adoptingContent-as-Code / Markdown-based workflows.
Create documentation, onboarding material, and conduct GitHub office hours.
Identifyopportunities to improve governance, simplify processes, and automate repetitive tasks.
Hands-on experience withGitHub administration.
Good understanding ofGit and GitHub workflows.
Experience managingrepositories, teams, users, and permissions.
Understanding of GitHub Actions and repository governance.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
GitHub Enterprise experience.
GitHub CLI/API knowledge.
Basic scripting or automation experience.
Experience with Content-as-Code or Documentation-as-Code.
