Job summary

Innovatia in Bengaluru is seeking a GitHub Administrator to own day-to-day governance of the GitHub environment, ensuring repositories, teams, users, access, and workflows are well managed and compliant with established standards.

You will manage organizations, repositories, teams, and permissions, conduct audits, and support developers with Git and workflows while driving governance improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with GitHub administration.
• Good understanding of Git and GitHub workflows.
• Experience managing repositories, teams, users, and permissions.
• Understanding of GitHub Actions and repository governance.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage repository standards including branch protection, CODEOWNERS, and templates.

• Provide basic support for GitHub Actions and troubleshoot common issues.
• Support teams adopting Content-as-Code / Markdown-based workflows.
• Create documentation, onboarding material, and conduct GitHub office hours.
• Identify opportunities to improve governance, simplify processes, and automate repetitive tasks.
