Job summary

Kumaran Systems is seeking a seasoned GIS software engineer to migrate legacy ArcObjects code to ArcGIS Pro CoreHost and modernize aviation GIS workflows for airport features (runways, taxiways, networks).

You will design geometry processing pipelines, develop headless CLI tools with Python ArcPy integration, and optimize spatial data pipelines across Oracle Spatial and SQL databases.

Qualifications

• Strong C# expertise across .NET Framework and .NET 8.
• Experience with ArcObjects and ArcGIS Pro SDK.
• Solid understanding of GIS concepts and geospatial analysis.
• Performance optimization and memory management.
• Python scripting and server configuration (Windows/Linux).
• SPatial data design and Oracle support.

Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy ArcObjects-based code to ArcGIS Pro CoreHost.
• Modernize aviation GIS workflows for airport features (runways, taxiways, networks).
• Develop and optimize geometry processing (buffer, intersect, union, reprojection).
• Build automated data import/export pipelines (shapefiles, geodatabases, Oracle).

Technical &Back-End Skills

• Strong C# expertise across .NETFramework and .NET 8 (including async/await, LINQ). - 30%
  
• Experience with ArcObjects(e.g., IFeatureClass, ITopologicalOperator) and ArcGIS Pro SDK(ArcGIS.Core.Geometry/Data) - 70%
  
• Solid understanding of GISconcepts: spatial data modeling, coordinate systems, geospatial analysis.
  
• Performance optimization: cursor handling, memory management, COMcleanup.
  
• Python scripting and server configuration (Windows/Linux).
  

Front-End Skills

• Basic graphics/OpenGL programming
  

Database Skills
