Job summary

TalkingLands is a geospatial intelligence platform delivering GIS solutions for land due diligence, infrastructure planning, and urban development. We seek a GIS Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to join our team in Bengaluru.

You will create and maintain GIS datasets, process raster and vector data, and automate workflows using Python. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years GIS experience, strong QGIS skills, and proficiency in Python and PostGIS.

Qualifications

• Experience with GIS software: QGIS mandatory; ArcGIS Pro preferred.
• Strong spatial analysis and raster/vector processing skills.
• Proficient with PostgreSQL and PostGIS; SQL knowledge required.
• Programming in Python with geospatial libraries (GeoPandas, GDAL/OGR, Shapely, Rasterio).
• Familiar with MapLibre GL JS, GeoJSON, and Vector Tiles (MVT).
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS/related field and 1–2 years GIS experience.
