ZALARIS Deutschland AG in Chennai seeks an experienced Global Payroll Specialist with strong German language skills to join our Global Payroll team. You will manage employee data, process payroll inputs, handle inquiries, and ensure compliance across multiple countries.

The role involves reporting, using SAP Payroll and SAP SuccessFactors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. English fluency is required; German proficiency is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of progressive experience in payroll operations.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Payroll (SAP HCM) and SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central / Employee Central Payroll).
• German language skills at B2–C1 level are highly desirable.
• Previous experience supporting or processing German payroll is a strong advantage.
• Experience with German-speaking employees, stakeholders, or clients is beneficial.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate clearly with global teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Register and maintain employee data, including new hires, changes, terminations, tax info, and pension control.
• Maintain organizational structure and absence/attendance records.
• Register payroll data inputs (deductions, benefits, bonuses, salaries).
• Prepare and deliver payroll reports.
• Handle service requests via C4C system and phone inquiries.
• Produce contracts and other employment documentation; maintain archives.
• Serve as case manager for complex multi-functional payroll issues.
• Train and guide other team members; perform additional related tasks.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Global Payroll Specialist with strong German language skills to join our Global Payroll team and support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services across multiple countries. The role will involve managing employee and payroll data, processing payroll inputs, handling payroll-related queries and cases, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local payroll requirements.

Your Responsibilities

• Registration and maintenance of employee data (e.g., new hires, changes, terminations, tax information, pension control)
• Maintenance of organizational structure
• Absence /attendance registration and handling
• Registration of payroll data input (e.g., deductions, benefits, bonuses, new salaries)
• Preparation and delivery of reports
• Handling service requests through C4C system and inquiries by phone
• Producing the contracts and other employment related documentation Maintaining physical and / or electronical archive
• To solve problems and be a case manager for complex multi functional issues.
• Train and guide other team members.
• Performing any additional tasks, linked to the primary scope of the position.

Your Experience and Skills

• 6–8 years of progressive experience in payroll operations, with significant exposure to multiple EMEA and EU countries.
• Hands-on, in-depth experience with SAP Payroll (SAP HCM) and SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central / Employee Central Payroll).
• German language skills at B2–C1 level are highly desirable.
• Previous experience supporting or processing German payroll is a strong advantage.
• Experience working with German-speaking employees, stakeholders, or clients is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; fluent in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a service-oriented environment.
